FAQs

Whether it’s your first class, or your fiftieth, we want you to feel prepared and confident when you enter Redroom. Find everything you need to know below. If there’s anything we haven’t covered, feel free to reach out to us.

Before Class

WHICH CLASS SHOULD I START WITH?

Every Redroom class welcomes all levels of experience. Whether you are a first timer or a seasoned practitioner, you belong here.

Our instructors guide with clarity and offer modifications throughout every class, so you can move at your own pace with confidence.

Choose the session that speaks to you and aligns with your goals. Every class is an opportunity to challenge yourself and discover what your body can do.

HOW DO I BOOK?

Booking is the easy part.

On our website, select ‘Book a Class’, choose your session and you’re in. Simple as that.

WHEN SHOULD I ARRIVE?

Please arrive at least 10 minutes early to check in, meet your instructor, and settle into the space. Once class begins, the studio doors lock to maintain focus and energy for everyone inside.

Latecomers can’t be admitted, so give yourself time to arrive stress free and ready for your session.

WHAT SHOULD I BRING?

Your mat, sweat towel, and water bottle are the essentials. If you forget, mats and towels are available to rent at reception for $5 each. Stay hydrated throughout, and refill anytime using our filtered water tap.

Wear breathable activewear that moves with you and handles the heat.

After class, everything you need is here: showers with body wash, secure lockers for your belongings, and complimentary deodorant, hair tools, and styling products to help you leave feeling fresh.

CAN I EAT OR DRINK BEFORE CLASS?

Avoid heavy meals for two to three hours before class. Because all Redroom classes are heated, it’s important to stay hydrated before, during, and after your session. Adding electrolytes to your water can help support optimal performance, hydration, and recovery.

CAN I ATTEND IF I'M PREGNANT?

Due to the infrared heat, our group classes are not suitable for pregnant clients. However, if you’re expecting and would like to stay active, we offer private PT sessions with one of our expert trainers who can tailor a safe, personalised workout for your stage of pregnancy. To arrange a session, simply reach out to us at dominique@redroom.nz.

I’M UNDER 18 - CAN I ATTEND?

You must be 18 years or older to attend Redroom classes. If you’re 16 or 17 years old, you may participate with written consent from a parent or guardian, and they’ll need to attend the same class with you. This ensures all younger members train safely and confidently within our heated environment.

DO YOU OFFER STUDENT DISCOUNTS?

We support students with $20 morning and afternoon classes. Book your 9am, 10am, or 4:30pm session online with code RRstudent, or arrive 10 minutes before class and book in at reception. Valid student ID required.

During Class

WHAT SHOULD I DO WHEN I ARRIVE?

Check in at reception and introduce yourself to your instructor. If it’s your first time, they’ll guide you through everything and help you feel at ease.

If you are using a student discount, make sure you have shown your student ID at reception.

Let your instructor know if you have any injuries or limitations before class begins, and they will offer modifications to keep your practice safe and effective.

Throughout the session, expect clear cues and supportive adjustments. Prefer verbal-only guidance? Just say so.

CAN I USE MY PHONE?

Keep your phone on silent during class so the space stays focused and undisturbed.

If you plan on filming or photographing your experience, be mindful for others and make sure you are asking for consent before capturing anyone else.

We love seeing your Redroom moments online, don’t forget to tag us @redroom.nz

WHAT IS THE STUDIO ETIQUETTE?

Our studios are shoe-free. Leave your footwear at the entrance and step inside.

After class, wipe down your equipment with the cleaning supplies provided. This keeps the space ready for the next person.

If you need to leave early, let your instructor know beforehand so they can help you exit smoothly without disrupting the flow.

After Class

HOW CAN I SUPPORT MY RECOVERY?

Feeling sore is normal. This means your body is adapting and building strength. Taking time to recover helps you get the most from your training.

Add a 10-minute Red Light Therapy session ($15) after class. Our panels use clinically tested infrared light to support muscle recovery, boost circulation, reduce inflammation, and promote cellular repair.

Stay hydrated post-session. We stock Hydee Electrolytes at reception to help you rehydrate and replenish what you've lost.

WHAT AMENITIES DO YOU PROVIDE?

Our studios are designed to make your experience seamless from start to finish. Showers, body wash, hairdryers, straighteners, and deodorant are all available. Towels can be rented for $5. Bring any personal items you need, and we'll handle the rest.

WHO DO I CONTACT IF I HAVE QUESTIONS?

We're here to help. Reach us at dominique@redroom.nz for anything you need, whether it’s booking support, class recommendations, or general questions.
